Manuel van Oordt Fernández has been CEO of LATAM Airlines Peru since 2018 and has more than two decades of experience with the LATAM Group, where he has led teams in the areas of commercial operations, sales, marketing, and customer experience across various markets in the region. In his current role, he drives the strengthening of the country’s air connectivity, promoting operational efficiency, digital transformation, and the company’s sustainability agenda, in addition to overseeing LATAM’s affiliated operations in Ecuador and Paraguay. He actively participates in trade and business associations focused on economic development, competitiveness, foreign trade, and tourism. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
