Juan Garrido

Juan Pablo Garrido holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He also holds a Master of Science in Engineering from l’École des Mines and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has a strong track record in strategic investment projects, as well as in mergers and acquisitions within the mining industry. Throughout his career, he has held roles at leading companies with operations in Chile, including Antofagasta Minerals, BHP, and Codelco. In 2022, he joined Rio Tinto, initially in Singapore and currently in the United States, where he leads initiatives focused on acquisitions and strategic partnerships with third parties across the Americas.
