This was highlighted at the discussion \u201cIntegrated Water Management in the Mining Sector\u201d, held as part of the XVI SIMPOSIO of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy, organized in partnership with the Peruvian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.<\/p>\r\n<p>The session began with a presentation by Juli\u00e1n Fern\u00e1ndez, general manager of GWE Tubomin, who emphasized that any water management system must ensure compatibility with water resources. He also presented examples of specialized solutions implemented in Peru and the region, aligned with the highest international standards.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cOne of the biggest challenges is developing technologies and materials that ensure the quality and durability of the system, even under extreme conditions. Innovation means adapting, always thinking about specific solutions for each mining environment\u201d, Fernandez noted.<\/p>\r\n<p>As part of the panel, Yvonne Lamparte, Environmental Management Superintendent at Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera Poderosa, highlighted advances in real-time monitoring systems that assess physicochemical and microbiological parameters. These systems help ensure water quality, reduce health risks, and prevent economic losses due to plant shutdowns.<\/p>\r\n<p>Next, Pamela Antonioli, general manager of the Mining Innovation Hub of Peru, emphasized the importance of integrating technologies such as sensors and fiber optics with advanced data analytics.
