He will also discuss how these factors directly impact service quality, energy security, and economic competitiveness.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cA resilient power system must not only guarantee continuity of supply but also adapt to an increasingly diverse energy mix, with higher reliability demands from industry and rising quality standards for users\u201d, Batlle noted.<\/p>\r\n<p>Later, Batlle will participate in a roundtable moderated by Walter Sciutto, chair of the SNMPE\u2019s Electricity Sector Committee and general manager of Pluz Per\u00fa. The panel will also include Juan Ricardo Ortega, president of Grupo Energ\u00eda Bogot\u00e1, Colombia; Olivia Heuts, Vice President of Commercial and Business Development at Transelec, Chile; Rosa Mar\u00eda Flores Araoz, CEO of Kallpa, Peru; and Eduardo Land\u00edn, CEO of Hochschild Mining, Peru.<\/p>\r\n<p>This session of the SIMPOSIO will examine the challenges facing electricity systems amid increasing electrification, the integration of renewable energy, and greater reliance on electricity for industrial and social development. In this context, Batlle\u2019s presentation will provide key insights into how the design and management of electricity systems influence economic stability and countries\u2019 ability to sustain orderly and safe energy transitions.<\/p>\r\n<p>Carlos Batlle is a renowned international professor and research scholar in the regulation, planning, and operation of electric power systems, with extensive experience analyzing electricity markets and energy policies in Europe and Latin America.
