Roque Benavides
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Compañía de Minas Buenaventura
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Compañía de Minas Buenaventura since 2011, where he has worked since 1977. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School, University of Reading, United Kingdom. He completed the Management Development Program at Harvard Business School, United States, and the Advanced Management Program at Templeton College, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. He teaches the Mining Business Management course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and the Mining Project Management course at the National University of Moquegua (UNAM). He has also taught the Management Strategy course in the Master’s in Mining Management program at the National University of Engineering (UNI). He is actively involved in the national and international academic community.
