Vice Chair and Chair of the Mining Industry Committee, National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy (SNMPE) Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Minsur
An attorney from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Fellow of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University; he is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the PAD of Universidad de Piura and the Mining Management Program at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. With 23 years of experience in the mining and energy industries, he currently serves as Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Minsur S.A. Previously, he held the same position at Barrick Misquichilca and was the Corporate Affairs Manager at Compañía Minera Antamina. Also, he is currently responsible for Social Management, Legal Affairs, Permits, Sustainability, and Communications for the mining companies of Grupo Breca (Minsur, Raura, and Marcobre). He is the General Manager of Cumbres del Sur, Minsur's Principal Liaison Officer to the ICMM (International Council on Mining and Metals), and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the International Tin Association (ITA). In the institutional field, he has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Mining Industry Committee of the SNMPE and was the Chair of the Simposio - XV International Mining Meeting held in Lima in 2024.
