Angela Grossheim
Executive Director, National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy (SNMPE)
Angela Grossheim Barrientos is the Executive Director of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy (SNMPE). She earned her law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a Master’s degree in Tax Administration from Universidad de la Sorbona. Ms. Grossheim served as Minister of Energy and Mines in 2018 under the administration of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, after having served as Vice Minister of Energy in 2017. She also held the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) during the 2016–2017 period. Additionally, as part of her career in public administration, she has served as an advisor to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. In the private sector, Grossheim was the Legal Assistant Manager and Project Director at Inkia Energy from 2010 to 2016. Likewise, she was a tax associate at the law firm Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados between 1999 and 2001. More recently, she served as the Studies and Research Manager at the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers from 2018 to 2020 and was a member of the organizing committees for Perumin 34 and Perumin 35.
