Felipe James
President, Sociedad Nacional de Industrias (SNI)
Felipe James Callao has served as president of the National Society of Industries (SNI) since June 2024. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad del Pacífico, a master’s degree in business administration from the same institution, and has studied strategic management for defense and crisis management. Since 1990, he has served as general manager of Almeriz S.A., a textile and apparel company focused on the export market. In his role within the trade association, in addition to having served as first vice president of the SNI since June 2022, James Callao was president of the association’s Apparel Committee from 2003 to 2007 and from 2013 to 2015, as well as the institution’s representative to the National Council of Senati between 2009 and 2011. Following his election as head of the association, he stepped down from the presidency of the SNI Textile and Apparel Committee, a position he had held since May 2020. Over the years, Felipe James Callao has carried out outstanding union work promoting the textile and apparel industry through various proposals for job creation and in support of policies that foster the development of various industrial sectors.
