Diego Macera Poli is currently a board member of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, director of the Peruvian Institute of Economics (IPE), a member of the Fiscal Council, and an opinion columnist for El Comercio newspaper. He has served as general manager of the Peruvian Institute of Economics, professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico, member of the Commission for Sustainable Mining Development of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and a board member of various NGOs. Mr. Macera has also worked at The Economist Intelligence Unit (Chicago), has been vice president of the civil association Transparencia, and served as Central Opinion Editor for El Comercio. He is a frequent presence in national and international media. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico and a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Chicago.
