Mr. Mazumdar joined Exploration insights in December 2015 and soon became the sole editor, succeeding Brent Cook. His experience includes six years as Senior Mining Analyst at Haywood Securities and Canaccord Genuity in Vancouver, Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development at Newmont Corp. (Denver), and over three years as a Senior Analyst/Commodity Trade at Phelps Dodge (now Freeport McMoRan, Phoenix). Before his career as a mining market analyst, Mr. Mazumdar spent over a decade as an exploration geologist for IAMGOLD Minerals, and RTZ in South America (Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador), MIM Exploration in Queenslad, Australia, and other companies in Western Canada (British Columbia, Yukon) and Nunavut.
