Jorge Erik Benavides Kolind-Hansen is an attorney who graduated from Universidad de Lima. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Columbia University, New York. He has over 12 years of experience in the mining industry and previously served as an attorney at one of the country's leading law firms, where he advised local and international mining clients. He currently serves as Country Manager Perú at First Quantum Minerals (FQM), one of the world's leading copper producers. He leads the Haquira project in Apurimac and the La Granja project in Cajamarca. Additionally, he is the Director and legal representative for FQM's subsidiaries in Argentina, Chile, Panama, and Peru.
